Uttar Pradesh has a great Indian history. Known as city of Nawabs, Luckhnow is most visited place in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has many famous monuments. Tajmahal, one of the seven wonders in the world is situated in agra. Palace of Rani Laxmi Bai, known as Rani Mahal, is the attraction of Jhansi; on the other hand, Rumi Darwaza is the popular gateway of Luckhnow.

Uttar Pradesh had many great scholars Munshi Premchand, and Mahadevi Verma were one of them. In Uttar Pradesh, people of different casts and creed live with harmony. And they celebrate all festivals together with great enthusiasm. Travelers go Uttar Pradesh at the time of Holi and Janmashtmi, birth date of lord Krishna, because at this time the whole state is decorated with lights and give the glittering look to its beauty. Almost all the people of Uttar Pradesh are very religious. Kathak is the classical dance of this place however Raslila is also famous. Uttar Pradesh is very prosperous in music.

People are practicing all kinds of music from the very ancient time. Uttar Pradesh is the origin city of many artists and therefore their art is noticeable in India. Embroidery works like Chikankari, zari work are famous and Banarsi sarees of Banaras, now Varanasi, is highly desirable by the Indian women. Furthermore brassware also attracts the tourists.
